Welcome to the Display Case and Cabinet Information Page
Construction Process, Materials, and Finishing

First and Foremost when you purchase one of our cases or cabinets you are getting a Solid Wood Cabinet.  We never use laminates or veneers.  If you purchase a Cherry cabinet - You get a Solid Cherry cabinet from top to bottom.

95% of our sales are "Made-To-Order" Displays.  With that, please allow 2-4 weeks construction time depending on current orders.  Whether you purchase a customized order or one of our nearly 100 designs, we build each and every one individually.  The construction process is extensive; taking lumber from its rough form when it comes in, then planning, shaping, and cutting to precisely fit our/your design specifications.  Meticulous attention to detail throughout the construction phase produces a Professional and High Quality Display Every Time.

Regardless of what you order, the stain choice is yours.  Our finishing process ensures each piece is sanded to the finest grain before we apply stain.  We use Minwax Oil Based Stains for all our applications.  Two coats of Magnalac Semi-Gloss Lacquer are applied to complete the process.  In the end; you get an even stain, the lacquer has no runs, and the finished product is smooth to the touch.

The final construction phase is where it all comes together.  Doors must fit and work smoothly, hardware is put on and the cabinet must meet all of our Quality Control Points.

Materials

Wood: Our most popular wood is Oak; however you can have any of our cabinets built with any of the woods outlined in our WOOD TYPES Page.   Additionally, we are now offering a variety of Exotic Woods such as Curly Maple, Curly Cherry, Tiger Wood, and others.  Check out our WOOD TYPES Page to see current wood availability.  Changing wood types in a product listing also changes the price.  Be sure to contact us either through a Customize It Form, email, or phone for the price difference.  Some of the woods really change the price because of the cost to us.

Hardware: We only use quality hinges, knobs, and hangars for your cabinets.  They are solid pieces that will stand the test of time in durability and appearance.

Backing Options: There are a variety of options available for backing in many of our cases and cabinets.  Everything from mirrors, to felt material, to plywood made from the wood being used in the cabinet.  (Exotic woods backing is matched to the closest standard wood plywood we have).

Plexiglas: For shipping purposes only we normally use Plexiglas.  The Plexiglas is very high quality.  A manufacture warranty against yellowing and we only use 1/8” or thicker Plexiglas.  You do have options with this.  In all of our Framed Door Cabinets, the doors are built to accept glass.  You can specify that you don't want anything put in the door and any local glass dealer near you can install the glass very inexpensively.  We can arrange for the installation if you like.  Additionally we deduct the price of the Plexiglas from you purchase price.
